[ARCHIVED] Fall Leaf Collection Opportunity

Fall Leaf Collection - REMINDER

The window of opportunity for leaf collection is relatively narrow from the time leaves fall to when snow arrives. In an effort to provide more effective and efficient leaf collection services the Public Works Department is instituting the leaf collection period for 2022 to be from October 10 through November 18.

Residents and business owners are encouraged to rake the leaves from the boulevard onto the street approximately two feet away from the curb.  Residents should have leaves ready to the curb by the start of the program to not miss collection. Unfortunately, there is no set timeline for when crews will reach certain areas. Unpredictable leaf volumes and weather conditions make it not possible to know when areas will receive collection, however, crews make every effort to remove leaves as quickly as possible.

Leaves will not be picked up outside of the Leaf Collection Season October 10 - November 18 and is subject to change due to weather conditions. Please contact Public Works for proper leaf disposal after the Leaf Collection Season or visit us on our website www.kalispell.com.

Bagged leaves should be placed in the alley behind your residence and will be removed with alley cleanup.

Please do not put rocks, dirt, cans, bottles, branches and items of this nature in the leaf piles because they may cause bodily injury and damage to machinery.
