Here at the City of Kalispell, we're dedicated to providing the tools and resources for all of us to make water smart decisions both inside and outside our homes and businesses.

Where the City of Kalispell's Water Comes From

The City of Kalispell's water supply comes from groundwater sources within the city limits and supplies water to the distribution system and four storage reservoirs.

Acting to Conserve Our Water Supply  

Taking action now to conserve water is the cheapest, most expedient, and environmentally-friendly way to ensure water supply sustainability through the hot summer months. And all it takes to help is doing one thing to reduce your water use.

In big ways and small, we can all do one thing to conserve Kalispell’s limited water supply. Water Conservation in City Parks

The City of Kalispell Parks and Recreation Department maintains 445 acres of parkland and natural open space. By following the same simple water wise concepts we are recommending for you such as reducing watering schedules, duration and times we have cut the amount of water needed for irrigation of parklands by 25%. Further steps such as evaluating water systems for efficiencies and leaks should provide even more savings while still maintaining the quality you've come to expect in our parks. 

We know we are all in this together, from the largest users to the smallest - we can all make a difference this year, and by making these changes habitual, we can make a difference into the future. Thanks for doing your part!
