[ARCHIVED] Arbor Day April 29 - Healthy Trees, Healthy Me!

Arbor Day Logo, Healthy Trees, Healthy Me! imposed over trees

The Urban Forest Committee in partnership with Kalispell Parks and Recreation is currently planning this year's Arbor Day festivities with the theme "Healthy Trees, Healthy Me!". The celebration will be held at Woodland Park on April 29, 2022 with activities scheduled throughout the day. The event will feature environmental educational booths for area 3rd grade students and community members, park beautification activities, tree planting, and a fun Arbor Day ceremony. This year we will be planting 30 trees in and around Woodland Park.

Donations and volunteers are needed to help make this year's Arbor Day a great success. Any donation is greatly appreciated and with a $250 donation your company logo will be displayed on the Arbor Day banner at Woodland Park throughout the event and the logo will be prominently displayed on the official work t-shirt that all on-site working volunteers will be wearing that day. Social media and website mentions are also included. With a $150 donation, your company name will be placed on the back of the t-shirt. Donations must be received by March 31st for banner and t-shirt design placement.

Adult volunteers will also be needed. If you are unable to contribute financially, please consider donating your time to the event. Past celebrations (pre-Covid) saw over 325 third grade students joining the festivities. Everyone who participated gained a sense of accomplishment and community pride. Donations of plant materials, tools, and food for the event volunteers are also needed and very much appreciated. To register to donate, volunteer, or ask questions please contact Fred Bicha at (406) 758-7716 or fbicha@kalispell.com. More information can also be found at: Urban Forestry | Kalispell, MT Hope to see you there!
