[ARCHIVED] Help Kalispell Police Fight Crime in Your Neighborhood

An outdoor surveillance camera attached to the outside of a building.

The Kalispell Police Department started a surveillance camera video registration system in February 2020 to provide a convenient way for everyday citizens and business owners to help solve crimes. We are thankful to say that about 70 outdoor cameras in and outside of city limits have been registered so far. Police Chief Doug Overman explains, "Registration does not allow the police access to the camera, just let's investigators identify a securely mapped camera location so the camera owner can choose whether to check relevant footage if a crime occurs in the area. Participation is 100% voluntary." If you have an outdoor camera and would like to help your neighboring businesses and friends by simply registering the camera location and a contact number, please register your camera today at: Kalispell Camera Registration Service | Kalispell, MT
