[ARCHIVED] Parkline Now Under Construction

Railroad track removal machine with Kalispell Parkline logo

Sandry Construction has begun removing the railroad tracks through town as the first step in constructing the long-anticipated Kalispell Parkline, a 1.6-mile linear park and multi-use trail that will replace the railroad tracks running through downtown Kalispell. The trail and complete street design was created by Alta Planning + Design and KLJ Engineering with critical input from city staff, local business owners, and the public.  The trail - named the Parkline, will dramatically increase safe avenues for healthy, non-motorized transportation, and provide an attractive backdrop for the new development plans along the corridor. The Parkline Trail will connect to existing trails that allow a cyclist to ride to Somers, Flathead Lake, north Kalispell, and Kila with little interference from motorized traffic.

Please watch for construction alerts from Sandry Construction and the City of Kalispell that will be posted to the Construction Alert page on the city of Kalispell website, and linked to the City of Kalispell's Facebook, and Twitter accounts.
