The Kalispell City Hall and Parks and Recreation lobbies are back open to the public as of Monday, May 4, with respective safety measures for social distancing in place per guidance from the Governor’s Phase 1 Directive related to COVID-19. While walk-in services have resumed, the city continues to encourage the public to use the extensive on-line services available on the city website at

Due to the social distancing guidelines in the directive, council chambers will continue to remain closed to the public during City Council meetings. The public can participate by providing comment via As usual, the meeting will be streamed live on Cable Channel 190, and online at

Municipal tennis courts opened Monday, May 4, with signage reminding the public to comply with social distancing measures. Begg Dog Park is scheduled to re-open on May 9, allowing for annual spring turf maintenance to be completed. Signage will be added reminding the public to comply with social distancing measures. While other city parks are currently open, bathrooms and playground equipment will continue to remain closed. “The City of Kalispell will continue to monitor other facilities and programs as new guidance is provided by the Governor’s office or the Flathead City-County Health Department” reported Doug Russell, Kalispell City Manager.
