The City of Kalispell was pleased to have two very strong finalists in their search to replace retiring Planning Director Tom Jentz. After an extensive selection process, and a public meet and greet of final candidates, Jarod Nygren was chosen as the new Planning, Building, and Community Development Director for the City of Kalispell. City Manager Doug Russell stated, “Jarod Nygren has been with the city as Senior Planner for about five years and will be able to immediately take over the management of our current efforts and initiatives.” Jarod comes with 15 years of experience in the field as well as a Master’s Degree in Public Policy Administration, and a Bachelors in Public Administration and City Planning.
