THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION WAS PROVIDED BY THE MONTANA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION & WAS UPDATED ON 6/7/19. THESE ARE NOT CITY PROJECTS.
Kalispell Urban Project:
Chip seal work on six central Kalispell roads is complete! The Montana Department of Transportation wishes to thank the community for their patience during this work.
These chip seals will provide increased traction and longevity for years to come. This pavement preservation work was part of routine maintenance keep our good roads good. The improved roadways include: North Meridian Road, 7th Street West, 7th Avenue West, East Center Street, East Evergreen Drive and Foys Lake Road.
What is pavement preservation, really?
During the week of June 9, crews will conduct cleanup efforts on all six roads. Traffic will not be impacted. Workers will return in approximately 30 days to stripe the roadway, completing the project.
Please be aware of additional pavement preservation work underway on U.S. Highway 2 (LaSalle Road) and U.S. Highway 93 (Sunset Boulevard). Contact me for more information on these projects.
