During the ceremony, Officer Oster received two awards, one based on her academics, and one chosen by her peers. Oster's academy class was asked to vote on "If you were a Police Administrator who would you most want to hire?" and "If you needed backup at two o'clock in the morning who would you most want to hear on the radio?" The class chose Officer Tara Oster for these distinctions.

Officer Oster will now go through the Kalispell Police Field Training Program. The City of Kalispell is proud of Officer Oster and happy to have her back from this extensive training.
