Animals In City Parks
October 5, 2020, City Council approved and passed Ordinance 1848 prohibiting the Feeding and Abandonment of Animals in City Parks. This ordinance would prohibit the feeding of fowl and the abandonment of domestic animals in City parks and provide a civil penalty for infraction.
City ordinance #1318A stipulates pets must be leashed at all times while in the city parks with the exception of the Begg Dog Park inside the fenced areas. City Ordinance #1697 stipulates that you are required to pick up after your pet. Dog waste stations have been installed at various city parks for your convenience.
