Carl Brisendine graduated from the University of California at Davis in 1998. While there, he served as an intern with the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office and the Attorney General’s office of Crime and Violence Prevention. He moved to the Flathead Valley in 1998 where assisted with the Flathead High School wrestling team and has worked with Youth with a Mission in South Africa. In 2003, Carl was hired by the Kalispell Police Department. He has served with the Major Crime Unit and is currently with the KPD Special Response Team. Carl is in his second year as School Resource Officer at Flathead High School and can be reached at 751-3476. Officer Steve Hoover is the School Resource Officer at Glacier High School. Officer Hoover graduated from Polson High School in 1990 and spent four years in the Navy. After the Navy he attended Salish Kootenai College for one year before joining the Highway Patrol in August of 1995. Officer Hoover has been with the Kalispell Police Department for just over four years now and appreciates the diversity of assignments available in the department. Officer Hoover is also a member of the Special Response Team. This is his first year as a School Resource Officer and has been a big change for him, but he likes it and looks forward to future challenges. Officer Hoover can be reached at 758-8666. Officer Doug Overman is a 1990 graduate of Seeley Swan High School and a 1995 graduate of the University of Montana. He has been with the Kalispell Police Department since 2000. Officer Overman has served the KPD as a Patrolman, Detective, and School Resource Officer. He is currently the photographer for the department’s Major Crime Unit and is the bicycle patrol program coordinator. In the summer of 2006 Officer Overman was recognized as the Montana Police Officer of the Year. Officer Overman is currently based at Kalispell Middle School.
