Crime Statistics & Mapping

Crime Map - Click this link for a map of crimes reported and calls for service for the last week.

A brief explanation of the categories: Crimes Against Persons, e.g., murder, rape & assault, are those whose victims are always individuals.  The object of Crimes Against Property, e.g., theft, burglary & fraud, is to obtain money, property, or some other benefit.  Crimes Against Society, e.g., drug & alcohol violations, disorderly conduct, represent society's prohibition against engaging in certain types of activity; they are typically victimless crimes in which property is not the object. Traffic accidents and violations are listed in a separate category, and the "other" category covers non-criminal calls for service.
