The Kalispell Fire Department responded to over 4,500 calls in 2006. Of these calls 69% were for medical assistance (EMS).

Call volume has increased dramatically in over thepast few years due to a booming population increase in the Flathead Valley and is on the rise every year. The Kalispell Fire Department has a compliment of three engines, one 85 foot ladder truck, four ambulances, and three administrative vehicles. Employees of the Kalispell Fire Department are trained in both fire and medical, providing Advanced Life Support (ALS) service to the local community with Firefighter/Paramedics. The employees of Kalispell Fire Department also provide the local community with fire prevention and education, technical rescue, and hazardous material response.
